A Silver Globe in the Green
In the process of a greater project, The Emigrant Daughter, I have rekindled a fascination with the ‘Home’. I have thought about what it is and what it means; I have identified my personal associations with the word and played with those ideas. I’m particularly interested in the house physically (the American vernacular) and have used this imagery as a basis for my investigation. My latest piece is a small house that I slowly covered in gold leaf. I then set fire to this golden house.
